Can you tell me the effects of having sex when having a low lying placenta?

I've done a google search and couldn't find anything useful. At 17 weeks I found out I had a low lying placenta and next week i'm going for another ultrasound to see if the placenta fixed itself. I'm wondering if I have sex with my husband what the effects could be. I'm currently 23 weeks. The doctor told me to be on pelvic rest but what are the chances that the placenta is still low this far along in my pregnancy? Any advice will be useful. Thanks.

If you have sex with a low lying placenta you can rip the placenta from the uterus/cervix and bleed out and kill yourself and the fetus at the worst, at the minimum you can cause bleeding and extended bedrest, at medium level would be bleeding, you having a crash c-section, loss of the fetus and perhaps a hysterectomy to prevent loosing your life as well. Just wait.
