why do i get chest pain after sex?

After having sex, I had chest pains for a few hours. I am not sure why this was happening because it has never happened before and I was in a large amount of pain and had to lay down. Is this normal?

No, this is not normal. Unless you are sure that you had indigestion from having vigorous activity shortly after a meal, you should see your doctor. Chest pains can have many different causes, but your doctor can tell you if it is muscular, vascular, respiratory, or anxiety-related.
